CTWW YOUTH PROJECT – Complying with Coronavirus Lockdown Regulations
The Youth project has been active and busy in different ways during lockdown. Faye has been keeping in touch with our young people in West Wight by means of social media. Members of The Pack regularly communicate with each other, but have a fun, weekly Zoom meeting, too.
Faye contacted all the Rock Solid families and offered them craft kits, which she has now delivered to those who said they wanted them. She is also keeping in touch with RS, some of whom have been joining in with members of The Pack in IOW Youth for Christ virtual evenings.
Many of these young people will not get back to school until the Autumn, so keeping them engaged and busy will be a challenge. However, Faye and the Youth for Christ Team are planning more exciting activities for them in the next few months. They are having a well-earned rest over half term. Please pray for the Youth for Christ Team as they engage with our young people across the island, sharing the good news of the gospel, and showing the love of Christ through fun games and activities.
Faye Smith, our CTWW Youth Worker, may not be meeting with her groups physically, but she is still maintaining regular contact with families and also holding weekly Zoom meetings with members of The Pack. Please continue to pray for this essential and valuable work amongst our young people in West Wight.

Young People’s Prayer Requests – June 2020
Dear Youth Project Supporters,
I hope and pray you are all keeping well, staying safe, and looking to Jesus during this difficult time. Of course, there is so much to pray for during this season. Please could I also ask you to keep the young people of the West Wight in your prayers too.
Firstly, lets thank God and remember to be grateful for all He has already done for us – His unfailing love, His provision, and His death and resurrection!
Thank God for our NHS, and for the schools that are looking after the children of our key workers. Thank God we have running water, roofs over our heads, and there is still plenty of food in the supermarkets!
Here are some things to be praying for with the Youth Project at this time:
* For our young people, staying at home with their families. Pray for good family relationships, for time to be spent productively and for strength for parents!
* For young people who struggle with mental health problems. Pray that young people will not turn to harmful things in an attempt to escape, but that they will turn to others, and to God.
* For online youth work. Pray we will still be able to be a blessing to the young people we already have contact with, and perhaps find ways to reach out to other young people too.
* For our West Wight community. Pray that everybody would be supported in any way possible, and that God would be drawing our whole community to Himself.
To finish, may I point you to the lyrics of a song, called Sovereign Over Us by Aaron Keyes –
“Even what the enemy means for evil, you turn it for good, and for your glory.
Even in the valley you are faithful, you’re working for our good.”
(See Genesis 50:20).
God bless you all,
